Finally M&S have woken up to the fact that not everybody wants desserts!

That's a much more sensible idea giving you choice as I much prefer a starter to a dessert. Not being a dessert eater at all I have avoided M&S dine ins for that reason, whereas with Waitrose or Tesco dine ins you do get the choice.
  • Does anyone know if you can have a starter and desert, instead of the main? Thanks!

No, its either a starter or a dessert, a main, a side and drink

The part of the offer I find most dreary and unchanging are the side dishes. Don't like any of them much and usually have the Rosemary potatoes. Wished I could have had the starter and the pudding and leave the side dish altogether.

You can get 2 deals for £14 if you buy the following:

    2 x mains
2 x asparagus (takes extra £1 off for 2 for £3 produce offer)
2 x Welsh rarebit starter (takes extra £2 off for B1G1 half price)
2 x Cattaratto Pinot Grigio Frizzante (takes £3 off for 2 for £12 offer)

    so £10 x 2 - £1 - £2 - £3 = £14 for two deals. Just purchased :)

It's been reported elsewhere that this wine is no longer giving the extra discount since hour or so ago. :( They must have taken it off multibuy.

You might want to check how the offer adds up for you then, if there are parts you don't want then you might find you aren't actually saving all that much money.
