Garden leave and last months pay

    Thank you for all of your posts. My manager sent me the response from payroll which explained that they had my leave date as October instead of November so they had calculated the pay up to the final day, I have since had a revised payslip and the rest of the wages should be paid today, with one more payslip and payment being due in November. Thanks again for your help.

    Good news. Sometimes it is just that easy. A mistake.

    I know your finances aren't great right now, but if you can manage to put even a little by to build up a reserve for covering the rent or some unexpected disaster, it would be a good idea. It'll be less stressful for you if you know that you have a little wriggle room if something goes wrong. Because, as you've seen, it does. Even enough to get by for a couple of weeks would help.
