I had the 2 most delicious ice creams ever recently - damson and sloe gin which was amazing and gooseberry and elderflower which was equally delicious! :)

My personal favourite is my HM lemon and honey frozen yogurt.
    It's literally just that.

    1 large tub yogurt
A good large dollop of honey (I use the locally-produced stuff from the farmers market)
Zest and juice of a large lemon.

I have a little Panasonic battery-operated ice-cream maker that makes about a pint and a half of ice-cream max; I just bung all the above into it, give it a good mix, turn it on, pop it into the freezer drawer and let it do it's stuff. Once it's done (ie the ice-cream maker turns itself off), decant it out into a plastic tub with a lid and keep in the freezer til needed.

would it work the same in my kenwood blender do you think ? as I like the sound of lemon and honey and I adore low fat plain yogurt

So many lovely flavours to chose from, it very much depends on what mood I'm in.
Love coconut, lemon, cherry, anything chocolate, rum and raisin, cookie dough, ginger.

Don't like strawberry, liquorice, bubble gum or anything nutty.

While staying at a hotel in Scotland I had marshmallow ice cream. It was the best ever, never seen it anywhere since.
  • I went on holiday to North Wales this year; I didn't know it was famous for ice cream. Delicious flavours I sampled there:

    -lime cheesecake
    -jaffa cake
    -elderberry & ginger

Currently enjoying some rhubarb & ginger from the Co-op.

If you have a sweet tooth, honeycomb is very good (known as hokey pokey in New Zealand for some reason).

My favourite used to be Tutti Frutti but it seems to have vanished from the market now.
I had a nice rhubarb and custard ice cream when we were in Devon last month.

I enjoy Ben & Jerry's (any of their chocolate ones!) but find them a bit sickly after only a few spoonfuls.
I also like Hagen Daz, as not quite as sickly IMO.
