  • Yeah to finishing teaching, as you said it probably won't hit you until January when the schools go back. I hope a weight has lifted and I hope you have a lovely Christmas. xx

    Afternoon all

Not going to do the food shop today as the electrician is apparently going to come over to fix a few snags. I shall believe it when I see it!

Hair cuts were £2 cheaper than I budgeted for so that's now transferred to the holiday fund. My mobile bill is also £1.88 cheaper than i budgeted for so that has also gone into the pot. Some rounding down has boosted it to £21.22 so a great start so far. Nearly 10% of the way there already!

Congratulations on finishing work. It will feel very strange come the 3rd of Jan. But just think, no more lesson observations, staff meetings, endless marking and all the crap that goes with the job!

I love it but its exhausting!
  • Congratulations on leaving your job and all the best for the future.

I retired myself today so feeling a bit weird. Great feeling though.

    Morning diary

Currently sitting with a cup of tea psyching myself up to do the Christmas food shop. Husband has offered to go tonight but we all know how that will end! (Food we don’t need and double the money).

I have a list and a meal plan ready. I finally wrote my Christmas cards last night so need to post them today and it would be good to pick up the husbands shoes which are currently being rehealed.

Still feeling rough. I kept waking up last night as my throat was hurting when I swallowed. I think im run down. Must remember to rest and relax.

  • Good luck with the food shop and I hope you feel better soon. xx
  • Feel better soon. Honey is good for sore throats or echinacea to stave off a cold. Good luck with the food shop. We are doing ours at 7.30am tomorrow. We don't have huge amount to get but our local Waitrose which is the only supermarket round here that stocks everything is just heaving all the time at the moment.
