I do hope you mean "I don't know for sure (since the government may change it by the time I retire,)" rather than "I haven't bothered checking." I know I have some SERPS entitlement at the moment (about a fiver a week,) though not a lot since I opted out years ago.

Therefore under current legislation not all of my private pension will be taxed. In fact as things stand, I'm hoping none of it will be.

Anyone getting a full basic and S2P will be well over the current age allowance and will most certainly pay tax

Could we have a cite for the numbers of people currently claiming full basic and full S2P? And also the likely numbers this will apply to in the future?

A cite for the current maximum S2P would be useful too, since I spent 10 minutes looking and couldn't find it on Google.
