Rather than revive an old thread that started in 2011, I have started a new thread.
Looking for a toaster that will accept a slice of "Warburtons Toastie" bread
The issue is the height of the bread not the thickness, a slice of Warburtons measures approx. 12 x 15 cm, yes I was in Tescos yesterday with a tape measure, they must of thought me mad.
Previous thread suggested taking a piece of car cut to the correct size, maybe try this today
Any help appreciated

I'd be putting it in sideways/lengthways, not upright - and finding a "long slot" toaster.0

Asda George - own brand - check out the four slice (I think the two slice is also big enough), fits a Warbies on its side with no problem.
If you think taking a tape-measure to a shop is weird, try this - I mocked up a slice of Warbies Green (super thick) in cardboard and tested that in various toasters/shops to find one that would accommodate!

I've got a Breville 2 slice 'guaranteed' to take Warburton bread. I bought it from Amazon for £21.85, it's a silver colour and looks okay.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright0

I have a Breville VTT233, just under £25 from Argos.
Not sure what the fuss is with Warburton's bread...but it should fit!0 -

Set the timer for half the time it normally takes to toast the bread. Insert bread. Half done toast pops up, remove it and re insert upside down so the top bit is at the bottom. Set timer to finish off toast. That's what I do.
