I love 'poor mans stew'
Fry minced beef and onion until mince is browned, add diced carrot and turnip, fry for a few minutes, then add a tin of chopped tomatoes, a large potatoe diced and two beef stock cubes and top up with water, bring to the boil then simmer until veg is cooked. I like to make this the day before eating as it seems to thicken better the next day.0 -

I make a veggie version of this and pour it into homemade yorkie puds! Lovely!0
