Hi All
Thinking of investing in a dehumidifier - old house + high ceilings mean more chance of trapped condensation lol. I keep the house well-aired; it has no damp probs and ! don't keep wet clothes on radiators (I have an airing cupboard in the bathroom).
I'm thinking of one from https://www.ebac.com/dehumidifiers/shop
I'm sure many on here have an opinion - lets have it!

I have a new build home and it is just too well insulated so I had some damp problems!
I have the EcoAir DC12 Compact Portable Dehumidifier, 12 L. It is brilliant. It took a couple of weeks to get my home down to the right humidity levels and now I just put it on a couple of times a week to keep things in check. It also has wheels so I can trundle it around the place. You can read reviews on Amazon.0 -
Thank you Hermia - will go and check it out!2022 | Back to the fold - need a Money Saving mojo reboot!

Hi Slowly, hope you're okay.
My brother has the dehumidifer mentioned by Hermia, he loves it.
I have a Prem I Air one...I love it! https://www.amazon.co.uk/PremI-Air-EH1506-Desiccant-Dehumidifier-Laundry/dp/B00BY7HM90/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1476984207&sr=8-10&keywords=prem+i+air+dehumidifier
You can get it cheaper, honest!
I'm in an attic flat 20ft x 30ft...just for the living room, my dehumidifer dries the place out and dries the laundry overnight! Whichever one you get, they're really worth the money. x0 -
Hi
Not sure if you have made your purchase yet but can thoroughly recommend DeLonghi Dem 10; so much so myself and my two brothers have one. A little workhouse that I've purchased from both Amazon and John Lewis. Currently about £119
Hope this helpsI got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -
Hi Slowly57 Over the years I have had 3 Ebac dehumidifiers. I would not choose any other make. I highly recommend them.I am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.

Thanks all - will go and look at all your recommendations at the weekend - I know most folks who have them, wouldn't be without one now.

I have one, cant recall the brand it was from B&Q ages ago. They are very reliable, just remember to clean the air filter now and agian. Great for drying laundry. In a rental house with some problems I purchased one from screwfix, very quiet, removes loads of water and shows humidity by % on a display.
