Hiya
Me and my partner have had a mortgage for about 8 months on a flat and we're thinking of trying to buy a house. We will have 10% deposit (once selling the flat).
At the moment our mortgage isnt great because my partner has had bad credit he has two defults one £600 paid off in 2004 and one £1600 paid off August last year.
I pay for our credit report from experian every month so i know its showing he has some good credit from his bank and virgin media (no missed payments etc)
We have both been in our jobs employed for over 3 years and my credit rating is really good.
From this information could anyone advise whether we might get excepted by a high street lender and which on is the best to try?
Thanks for any help
