I just bought one of these last week funny enough came from Ebay a few quid more. they are a good make.
For safety sake please get one. Dead easy to fit just 3 screws it took me 5-6 minutes to fit. screws, plugs and batteries (3xAA) should be supplied they were in mine. According to instructions these will last up to 5 years, a very small price to pay for peace of mind.

Would second that. A must buy if you have a child going into a student house or other rental. I've even been known to insist on lending mine out for a few weeks when a friend moves house, if I can't persuade them to buy one of their own!0

And while your doing that check your smoke alarms guys...........don't take the batteries out. Most brigades do a free home safety check and will fit decent smoke alarms free of charge. Its part of our targets of reducing fire deaths, I know the tax payer ultmimately pays for the alarm but at least the firefighters will also check the house and fit it in the best possible place.
just ring your local fire HQ and they will sort you out. Would also recommend students get it done too as although the rental rules are quite strict the students themselves can be a bit niave about it all (i know my daughter is a bit and Im a firefighter!) so a reality check doesn't hurt!
lecture over..............sorry!Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0 -
