Re-Mortgage 95% for New Build

My wife and I have a mortgage but want to increase it for to move to a new build. With the increased mortgage we would have the 5% deposit but every bank is now advising us that we would require 10-20% deposit because we are looking at a new build.

Does anyone know of any banks or building societies that lend 95% on new builds out with the help to buy scheme?

Is it a house or a flat you are looking at buying?

If it was a flat it would be a bigger issue I think.

There are lenders I am sure who would do it. To be honest I tend to avoid new builds whenever possible though so I am probably the worst person to answer.

There is a member on here called kingstreet, he will know the answer. Wait till he responds (assuming he does).

It's not a remortgage either, it's just a Plain Old Mortgage
