Hi we have been fortunate to have been offered some money by my in laws to help us clear our debt. Theres not enough to clear everything but would like to offer one of our main defaulted accounts a final offer
In terms of where the funds came from will we need to divulge the source and will in laws be contacted at any point to confirm?
Also can anyone please help with how the f&f process works
thanks as usual

Ferry you don't have to disclose anything to anyone.
In your letter, just state the funds are "a gift from a family member".
That's all you need to say.
Make your offers in writing using the National Debtline template letter.
Also do not part with any money, under any circumstances, until you have it in writing the account is settled, and any remaining balance will not be chased.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Brilliant advice as usual, thank you:j0 -
Just wanted to clarify if deals are done via email is that an acceptable form of communication?
Or will an officially signed letter be best?

Best to keep everything in writing.
Emails are ok, but sometimes get deleted, or not read.
