Hi there,
I have spent the last 2 days looking for a new superking mattress and the sales men in the shops have totally confused me.
One will say you need this and that and then you go in another shop and they will tell you the complete opposite.
Well i have seen 2 mattresses one is by sleepeezee and the other is by sealy i was just wondering if anyone has ever had a mattress from either and if so what was there opinion?
Also is there any review sites to compare cant seem to find any
Thanks alot

Haven't a matress from either of these manufacturers but have a Staples with individual pocket springs. Took ages to find one I liked and it was quite expensive but 5 years on it has been worth it. After all you spend a third of the day asleep and don't want an unsupported back.
Best advice is to go into several stores and lie on each of the matressess in your price range that you are interested in for 5/10 minutes each. You can then work out if it is supportive, too firm etc. It is easy to work out the ones you don't like and you will soon find out which you prefer.
Some love memory foam and some hate it. Personal preference is what it's all about and not what the salesperson is trying to sell.0 -
If memory foam is too thick you get too hot.
Our superking mattress cost over £500 but was worth every penny. The super kingsize bed was another £400, again, on a weekly basis we get into bed and tell it how much we love it! Came from Bensons, my s-i-l bought exactly the same bed a month later, without knowing where ours was from, and sings its praises too. If you want I can have a look and see what it's called...just PM me!Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I'm afraid there are loads of sales gimmicks in the bed trade. The truth is that in many of the big chain stores the sales reps are trained to sell rather than give you honest advice. The advice they give you can vary depending on which mattress will earn them the most commision.
Hotspur is correct in saying that you should try out different mattresses, however 10 mins isn't enough, so try and find a seller who gives a 100% staisfaction guarantee.
Sealy are way above Sleepeezee as far as quality goes, but I have even heard a few stories recently about Sealy not lasting quite as long as they used to.
Stay away from pillow top and non turn mattresses. These are just sales gimmicks, and the mattress won't last as long.
Don't just look at brand names, there are some very good independent bed manufacturers about.
I know that many people are very wary about buying items like beds from ebay. However if you follow a few guidelines then you can save up to 75% on the shop prices:
1) most important of all make sure that the seller gives a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
2) check previous feedback for the seller, and even contact previous customers to ask them about the seller.
3) use a company who display their phone number, so that you can talk to someone about your requirements (they want you to make the righ choice because it will cost them if you return it).
4) check the sellers return policy. Many sellers charge for postage on returns.....can work out very expensive if you have unpacked a vacuum packed mattress, and you don't like it.
5) try to use a seller who delivers using their own transport. Couriers often damage or misplace goods (believe me I know from experience).
Obviously you can't try before you buy, but for the saving it is worth the risk if you follow the guidelines above.

Well my silent night mattress has just gone soft after 24 years of solid use including much bouncing by small children on a regular basis!
Think that is pretty good going... I now need to purchase another...was wondering about the memory foam but it does look hot.0 -

Unfortunately they don't last the way they used to. Going by what some of my customers have told me, they now last on average about 1/10 of that.0
