Changing a standard mortgage to a buy to let mortgage

Hi, Im hoping somebody can point me in the right direction??
Me and my husband are wanting to change our normal mortgage to a buy to let mortgage, is this possible or will we need to remortgage etc. I have no idea where to start with this one so any advice would be great.

You'll need to apply. Not just a question of switching products. As for remortgaging. Does your existing lender offer BTL products? Vast majority of BTL products are now only available through mortgage brokers.0
