How to dispose of elliptical trainer?

How can I get rid of a huge elliptical trainer that's taking up space in my garage. It's hardly ever been used since I bought it a couple of years ago. It's extremely heavy, weighing in at 96KG.

It's in fully working order and in excellent condition. I'm not bothered about getting paid for it, but I don't really want to have to pay to dispose of it as there's nothing wrong with it, and it cost me £550 to buy a couple of years ago.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Put it on EBay, few nice photos, good description, start bidding at 99p and this time next week someone will be over to take it away and pay you for the privilege.

  • Selling it on a facebook selling page would probably be the easiest option

eBay option at 99p sounds like a good idea. Many thanks for all the suggestions.

We had the same problem. We were gong to stick it on Ebay but my wife ended up selling it to a colleague for £100.

I don't think she realised just how big it was. It now fills about half the sitting room of the smallish flat that she shares with her boyfriend.

You can give things away on Freegle or Streetlife to local people and they will come and collect it.
  • I contacted my local charity shop (it was BHF) and they sent 2 guys in a van to pick it up.

Another vote for freecycle. There's always someone who'll have it off you, particularly when free.

I sold mine for £400 (bought for 600 and only used 6 months). Put it on eBay.
