Doingitanyway: Oh, I don't know what to say, your words are so kind! I would never think of myself as an inspiration to anyone- more of an example of what happens if you don't watch your pennies :o In all honesty my experience of doing the online shopping job early in the mornings isn't hard at all, the time flies by and you don't have to interact with customers which is a blessing early in the morning! I work Mon, Tue, Fri and Sat, 5-8am, and it nets me an extra £300 after tax four weekly. Not shabby. Plus I'll be entitled to the discount card at the end of Jan, which now also works in Arg*s, so there are some perks.

Seaside: As always, thank you for popping by! I keep neglecting your diary as I forgot to click subscribe last time I posted... you would never think I'm part of the technological 'millenial' generation with how hopeless I am! Although my generation is normally touted as the 'hopeless' one so...

Definitely don't want to go stick thin, I love a toned look. My arms are getting there and my pooch (the sad extra skin on my belly) is slowly firming up so hopefully it will perk up a bit soon. In clothes I look alright, but I want to look SCHMAZING when I whip them off... Too much? :rotfl:

Monday and Tuesday have been hectic. Both were long days, at 15 hours 50 minutes work if I add up the hours of all three jobs. Three hours sleep was thrown in there each day and the rest was commuting. No rest for the poor! :o

Monday was a NSD but had to fill up the bug on Tuesday as I was running on fumes. £38 for a full tank. Can't complain much, but I used to be able to eek out 10p a mile. Can't now. Means my petrol spends are around £150 a month...

Today was a NSD however I have been eating EVERYTHING. Per tradition, whoever has a birthday has to bring in cakes for the rest of the office. I did this on Monday (scouted out a load of party food from Iceland) and today there were two birthdays. On offer was a range of shortbread, cakes and chocolate. Needless to say, I took advantage. Weighed in at 8.13.4 this morning, but probably won't stay that way! Especially not with fajitas for dinner :D

It's a nice quiet night in tonight with OH as I'm away visiting family this weekend for birthday part deux. We don't spend as much time together now due to my working pattern but it has made us a lot closer and we cherish the time we do have together.

Oh- I also used my employee (i.e. free!) cinema tickets this week for Arrival on Sunday. It is AMAZING! Definitely not what I thought it would be. Well worth a watch if you can- go for a Meerkat Movie day at 2-4-1 and bring your own snacks so it's MSE though :money:

I also don't fancy being 'customer facing' so online shopper would suit me. I looked it up. They have a vacancy near me (10 mins bike ride) but it's 5-9, 3 days a week and I need 5-8, 4 days a week. So, putting it out there: 5-8 Sunday-Tuesday and hoping the universe will deliver those days and hours. I'll let you know if I get it!

I wouldn't tout you as "hopeless" at all. Not with your determination and work ethic!

Oh you two! You'll make me blush with all your kind words :o

I hope something will pop up for you re online! Sainsbugs are putting up vacancies all the time for my store as people don't seem to last very long.

Oh, did something 'fun' at work and done my snowball. As I'm not paying any interest I can't exactly snowball at the moment, but knowing when my debt will be gone is a massive motivator.

According to my snowball, I should be debt free by September 2017! That's if I throw all my part time jobbie earnings at debt plus keep up minimum payments. Obviously if I can pay more that would be awesome to get my debt free date sooner, but unlikely if I'm being realistic.

The last couple of days have been quite nice as I spent the evenings in with OH. Don't get many of them now I work at the cinema in the evenings, but I feel like we enjoy each others company so much more.

Had a lazy evening in yesterday so went to the gym today for HIIT. I love my instructor, but GEEZ. It was definitely hard. I love the exercise buzz but it's hard to fit the gym in as much as I used to due to evening shifts.

Dinner today is beef casserole, asparagus, baby carrots and tenderise broccoli. Picked up the veg this afternoon as I wandered into town as I had a half day. No spend though as all covered by the Wait*one Giftcard I got from work for the wedding.

Accompanied OH to his hospital appointment for an ultrasound due to lump on his back. They said it wasn't sinister but was 'tethered' so may be stopping his shoulder muscles being as efficient as they should be, leading to his pain. Results to go back to GP who will then decide what to do. Hopefully they will cut it out as it clearly isn't going anywhere (been around for a year and a half!) but wouldn't be a priority. Neither of us visit the doctors really so it makes you wonder what your taxes are for

Long day ahead tomorrow. Sainsbugs, main job then Showcase. Also up early on Saturday for Sainsbugs then I'm making the journey home to Kent to see the family for birthday celebrations part deux! Will cost me an extra £30 in petrol this month (Yay...) but I'll get free food out of the visit, plus presents!

    Until next time!
  • I used to love looking at my snowball as well when I was reducing my debt, even though my CCs all ended up on 0% as well. It's so addictive......:D I used to reduce the smallest amounts first.

Unfortunately I have to tackle the biggest first as the 0% runs out earliest. Seems like a mountain to climb!

Still, it was payday today and was a bumper one as got paid from all three jobs. It's nice to see an extra £380 on top of your usual monthly wage :D I will update th signatures tomorrow when I have the time to work it out.

Confession time... I may have got a new phone contract for a S7. Got suckered by the black Friday deals... :o My phone is slowing down and has had better days, and in the long run is actually saving me money compared to buying the handset outright next year. It's £21 a month for unlimited texts, calls and 6gb 4g data, and I get a shiny new phone! My one is smashed at the back and has had better days! I pick up my new toy tomorrow.

I am up early tomorrow (3:45am) so need to pack my suitcase tonight as I'm off down to Kent to see the family for birthday celebrations part deux. The drive is going to be horrible on so little sleep as it is two hours on motorways. Ugh. Still, I will get into a bed when I'm at my dad's and tell everyone to leave me alone for a few hours while I nap. Dinner will follow in the evening, paid for by the family :D
  • Hope you had a lovely time with your family Alarae.

Had a brilliant time with the family. My nephew is really coming along and is such a funny thing! Very cheeky.

Dinner was lovely with everyone. I do miss being with my family but I would never move back. I could never build a career down there are the only places with jobs going are in the hospital (if you are lucky) or in care. Neither profession is for me.

Got some lovely pressies including a load of sausage rolls (it's a inside joke between me and my sis), a new jumper and touchscreen gloves, a beautiful coat from laura ashley and money.

My mum and middle sis hadn't seen me since the wedding and when I took my old coat off to try my new one on they both cried out! Not in a bad way, but more in the fact they said I was so tiny! I don't think of myself like that so it was a bit of a boost to hear :o

Ended up seeing one of my old friends and had a natter round hers before I drove back. Absolutely fab to have a catch up and I got to try on a bridesmaid dress so she could figure out what size to order. I'll be an 8! It's a corset back as well and looks lovely.

Today is a NSD as I don't have time to spend as all my time is spent working! 5-8am at Sainsbugs, 8:30-4:30 at main jobbing and cinema from 6-11ish. Then it starts all over again tomorrow! Although no cinema, but will be going to spin class instead.

Might have a nice relaxing bath tomorrow after the gym... I think I might need it!
  • So pleased you had a lovely time. How over the moon you must have been when they cried out about your weight loss! Plus you'll be a size 8 bridesmaid!

  • I find it inspiring the way you go for a goal and really go for it...like your debt and your weight. Glad you enjoyed your family time.
