  • Hi,send them back to ghd they run a repair service - just send them off and they will write to you telling you how much the repair will cost - if you decide to go ahead, send payment and they'll return them to you. My friends ghds blew up and I think it cost £27 (that included posting them back to her)
I think that the repair was guaranteed for 12m

GHD are brilliant - send them back & they will quote a cost for repair which includes P&P, then they send you a brand new pair.

I paid £30 for a 'repair' of my GHDs which have been used regularly for over 3 years & they sent brand new ones.

If they think the original pair are faulty in any way (ie, not just worn out due to wear & tear) they will replace them free of charge, even if they are not in warranty.
  • Hi, I'd only had mine 4 months when they broke, so I returned them, with a copy of the receipt to GHD, using Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day Delivery, it cost £7.80 (I was advised to use this by lady at the post office as the insurance cover would cover the cost of the GHD's if they got lost, basic delivery doesn't), anyway GHD sent me a new pair. Hope this helps.

Returned my 4 year old ones and they offered me "25% off £120, so £90". Accepted cause it's still a couple of quid cheaper than beauty sleuth but I spent £5 on postage to return them.
  • If you type GHD repair in ebay, you can get them done for £17 - includes return postage. Costs £2.80 to send them to England so thats a total of £19.80. I've used the service twice for different GHDs - (too many girls in the house!) Turn around is four days or less. There are a number of people who fix them, but the guy we have used - his ebay user name is Neilandt.

If they can't be fixed, he will refund the money less p&p. Its a great service.
