Been Made Reudundant / PPI Question ?

Hi,

I was told last week that im being made redundant and am on 4 weeks notice.

I have a loan with Lloyds TSB and took out PPI. I have contacted Lloyds to tell them im being made redundant and can i start the PPI claims procedure. They have done what they can for now, Until i register with the job centre.

The question i have is about keeping up the repayments.

Lloyds told me that i will still have to carry on paying my loan and that they will reimburse me for the payments i have made. They will backdate it to the date i registered with the job centre.

How am i meant to find the money to cover the repayments when im unemployed? Will they reimburse me after 1 month so i can leave that money in the account to cover the loan each month ?

Has anyone else claimed on Lloyds PPI before, have i misunderstood what they have said to me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Usually you have to be out of work for 30 days , so this may be why they have said about registering with the job centre (a condition of claim)

The sooner you do that, the sooner you can submit this to them
