Hi
I'm not sure if this is the right board for this post!
I have often seen a sign, when I am coming home from Chester, which is indicating a farm selling meat/veg.
Is what I was wondering is, has anyone bought food direct from farms? is it good value for money and/or good quality?

I try to buy mine direct as much as possible. I use a meat box delivery service normally and get any extra from a couple of other local farms. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10

Hiya; it is trial and error. Some are good, some not so good. AM in favour of cutting out the supermarkets where possible. We have a good farmshop which is reasonable and we get venision etc there. Just be careful, some places sell imported produce - this is fine so long as you know about it and don't think you are saving food miles!0
