There are discounted rates on offer that carry no application charges. You just have to use your initiative & shop around to ensure that whether you chose a product with a fee or one without fees that it is the one not only most suited to your needs, but is the most cost effective.
The choice is out there in the mortgage market, you just have to make it & not try to blame the lender when you chose a product that comes with an application/reservation fee, as nobody has twisted your arm.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
