Remortgage question

Hello!
Our current mortgage runs out at the end of November. Our house is currently on the market but the market seems to be flattening out. We decided that if it's not sold by the end of Oct we would take it off the market and try again in the spring.
We would like to remortgage now to get a better deal as the SVR with Yorks Bsnk is about 1.5% higher than the rate we're on. If we remortgaged now, how easy would it be to port and add to the deal in the Spring? Are some lenders more accommodating with porting than others?
Any help appreciated!
Cheers!

Im in a similar boat to you, my deal came to an end this month.
I am looking to move but cant seem to find anything. I switched to a tracker product with a lender who has no early repayment charges. That gives me the flexibility of applying to take that mortgage and any extra I need should it still be a good deal and they are happy to lend me what I need or alternatively finding a new provider without having to worry about the early repayment charges.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thank you. That's sounds like a great idea! I'll have a look into it. Out of interest, who is the lender??0
