Wooden chair damaged by rain

Last night I left a wooden chair (possibly walnut ?) in the rain and now it has white marks on it.
Any idea on how to clean it ?

Try gently sanding with the finest grade wire wool. Sand in the direction of the grain only and when the marks have disappeared polish with a good polish like Briwax or Liberon.0
