Set up my DMP - Any advice/tips

NoMoreDenial
This is my first posting.I'm £30k in debt and have just signed my paperwork to begin my DMP. I've buryed my head in the sand for years but am no longer in denial,i want to sort my debts, and have come clean to my partner of 6yrs,who was much more understanding than i expected. What should i expect from my creditors to start with (i have quite a few)? Should i write to them or leave it all to my DMC? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! This looks to be a great website!
Thanks

i only have 2 creditors so I have set my my DMP on my own, however, I would say leave it all to your DMC. If your creditors contact you, refer them to your DMC...

Did you go for one of the debt charities or a company? If you went for a company I would not go any further and spend some time either on the internet or contacting by phone the CCCS, Payplan, National Debthelpline or the CAB.
SO many people come on here regretting going with companies, it really is in your best interest to make sure it is with one of the above the others without exception make money out of your debt, and you want every penny you pay going to pay your debt off not paying some company!
Good for you for facing things and tackling it.0
