Mispayed holiday pay ruling

Options
Anyone remember this ......

https://www.theguardian.com/money/2014/nov/04/holiday-backpay-ruling-what-mean

At my work we have received a memo stating we will receive a payment in November regarding this ruling, does anyone know an easy way to work out what we are due or have received a similar payment recently?
My colleagues are already planning holidays on it but I don't think it will be much at all....any ideas?

It entirely depends on what the employers are doing. We know nothing about your circumstances or employment, so we can't guess. But I'd lay bets on you being correct.

Rather depends how much holiday you did take, etc., could be low, could be meaningful. I'd suggest waiting and seeing rather than planning to spend it in advance. It's still taxable, etc., so and figures you work through may be misleading

I received about 64GBP in a similar situation at work. This figure however is useless to you.. It depends entirely upon your salary and how much overtime you have done etc. It's very unlikely to be a windfall.
  • Thanks,I was wondering if there was a percentage of pay/hours worked that was standard to get back,I guess not so we will just have to wait.
