Along the same lines, it'd be nice for MSE to contact Amazon and enquire how they've 'lost' a great deal of the PS4's dispatched. Certainly quite a few reports of that on the HUKD forums.0

There's more of a story concerning the retailer GAME and their conduct in this whole PS4 clearance saga. They did as Very did detailed above, but the add further insult, they too the money, marked the bundle as dispatched via email (an email that stated that once you got a dispatch notice, you legally entered a contract of sale with them) then cancelled orders over A DAY AND A HALF later by email. Within that day and half delay in cancelling orders, the stock of the now discontinued model of the PS4 had gone out of stock at every retailer nationwide. If GAME had cancelled the orders straight away, then people who had purchased could have sourced the bundle at another retailer. Many customers also purchased games and accessories in anticipation of receiving the PS4 which GAME had taken payment for, and had also sent dispatch emails for.
To add insult to injury, in the cancellation email, they offered "compensation" for their abysmal stock control in the form of a new PS4 bundle costing £100 more with a measly £20 discount.
It took days for a refund to be actioned, during which time, GAME blatantly ignored every single tweet, email and phone call (2 hours on hold, no answer) from every customer this mess affected. They are still to this day ignoring all correspondence relating to this matter. Refunds have been issued but haven't actually cleared so we are still all out of pocket.
The over riding difference between Game and Very, is that Game's own terms and conditions state that the sale isn't legal until you receive a dispatch email. A dispatch email that they actually sent, within minutes of orders being placed. And the other difference between Very and Game is that Game have offered no suitable resolution to customers and continue to ignore their own breaking of their own terms and conditions.
Ironically, I was one of the cancelled order customers with Very, having placed an order in the early hours of the deal going live. However, they cancelled it within 40 minutes, hence me finding the deal at Game instead.
The only retailer to have come out of this with any credibility is Argos. They offered a better deal overall, controlled their stock levels better and seem to have fulfilled most of the orders taken. There's been a bit of a issue with specific stores not honouring the original bundle price after the online price increased the day after, but the majority have agreed to honour the original deal if there's any stock left anyway. Amazon seem to be messing things up quite well too.... An alarming number of the PS4's have gone "missing in transit" and some customers have received a child's suitcase in their delivery instead of a PS4 so it appears there's suspicious activity at their warehouses, and they don't seem to be handling customers valid complaints very well either.0 -
I had a hat trick, was done by Very, then had Game say they had shipped my deal and later cancelled then all Argos stores refused to honour the deal that was valid until the 16th. :mad:0
