moving home in less than 3 weeks , AIP done on 29/9 and full application 30/9 only looking for exact same amount as we currently owe over same terms, ive never defaulted in 11 years but its been sent to the underwriters today but I'm worried sick about it being declined the reason being this move wasn't planned and we bought a new car weeks before application so now have 11k of debt on our file, although if needed could pay off with savings. I'm worried sick not sure I can cope with another 5 days for decision - anyone else ported and been declined???

Im sure some people have been declined. Otherwise that's the same as saying that you cannot be declined when you ask to port and then they wouldn't go to underwriters as there would be no point. Imagine you'd bought a £110k car instead of a £11k car. You'd be declined then I suspect.
So the only issue is, is this £11k loan significant and no one here can know that as we don't know your financial details. Were you borrowing the absolute max you are allowed or well within it? Obviously the more you are within affordability, let's say 3x salary rather than 4.5x, the better.0 -
