Yep, I did obviously sign all the sale documents but my ex had sorted the money out himself by that point.
At no time did he say he would be chasing me for half. I told him i didnt have the 10k to put in and he continued with the sale. In hindsight I should have refused to sell until he'd given me something in writing to say this was the end of the matter.

12 years ago was 2004 - the financial crisis hit 8 years ago in 2008. I'm surprised the property is £20k in negative equity.
