typing at home / students / income

hi all,

looking at boosting my income
can touch type very well
heard that students pay to work typed up
any one got any experience of this / earnings etc

or are they any on line companies that pay for this or similar work, would consider anything at home for flexibility as still working full time.

many thanks

andrew

If you get any work, you might want to find out where the shift key is, it helps with capital letters. Plenty of punctuation you can add using the keyboard as well.

Its not imperative on here - but thank you for your sarcastic remarks.

Obviously you have time on your hands.:T

From what I gather from the final year students I work with, the majority do their own typing even for final projects, however if you have a university/college nearby you could try advertising on their noticeboards if it is permitted. Some of the post-grad students do typing for their peers to earn a little extra and as they're in the same field they can also add some input/proofreading skills.

Personally, I've not come across any companies that offer this type of work - though there are some that offer audio typing work if you have the skills, speed and equipment.

  • I have typed up notes on one occassion but it was not for a student it was for a faculty member.

I have transcribed audio interviews into Word and I much preferred that. I was much better at it, quicker and more efficient. Sadly I haven't had any transcribing work for years.

Check out fiverr.com, you can make some serious money writing articles for SEOs.
  • Writing articles and blogging are the best options to make money online
  • Why not sale it as a service on Fiverr or in other freelancing websites? It's hard to believe any companies who pay for typing as there are lots of scamers.
  • Touch typing is generally a requisite of secretaries, rather than virtual copywriters. But there are many good freelancing sites out there.
