Glitter advice

Hi everyone,
Ive been making glitter glasses for a while now and for Christmas would like to try something new, so I thought candles, I have glittered pillar candles before and they are fine because the glitter melts with the candle, but I'm just wondering how it would work with Jars and tins?
When they get hot would the glitter peel away? Or is there something extra I can put on it to stop this?
Any advice much appreciated
