Need a bit of advice please
Recently missed a £159 monthly payment for my service&aground rent
I phoned to pay it to OM property services and they said I now couldn't as it was over 7 days old and has been passed to bonds Dickinson
Bonds now want the rest of the entire years payment of £1091 including £75 charged by them
They sent me a letter which took 3 days to arrive and have given me 14 days or they take me Cc and the fee will rise they said
They won't accept a part payment of £700 this week and £391 on 20th
Do I have any options

Hi,
Can't really help as not my specific area of knowledge, however this guide may be useful to you, as it appears there is a correct procedure to follow for the collection of ground rent arrears :

Hi Mullery83,
Check the terms and conditions of your contract, and then try and negotiate a payment plan. They should explore repayment options with you before going straight for county court action. Keep the money you have to one side ready to send them. Keep all of this in writing from now on, highlight that is was only one missed payment and that you can catch that up and then some!
Hopefully you will get someone more reasonable next time, but just in case, make sure you check the contract for details of possible enforcement. It may be county court, or they may be able to reclaim the money from the mortgage lender (if applicable), or, worse case scenario, it could result in a forfeiture of the lease. Try not to panic, and have a look here for more information - http://www.lease-advice.org/

I spoke to them today and asked for 17 days to settle it
They seemed to listen and will let me know tomorrow
FYI I'm mortgage free
I already have 75% of the debt and will 100% have it all by the 20th
I feel I'm in an ok spot?0 -
Hello again,
The pre-action protocol for county court does ask the creditor to explore all options for payment before using the courts and to give 14days warning before action. It would seem as though they are being very quick to enforce the debt and if you will have all of the money in just over 2 weeks it would seem a bit aggressive to go to court so quickly. So hopefully you should be fine.
You could make a formal complaint about how aggressive they have been and ask this to be investigated. This may delay things and give you more chance to pay.
