I need to make £2000.00 asap

Options
Hey everyone!

My partner & i have been saving for a house. We are just £2000.00 short of the deposit! It is our dream house & in the most perfect area. We will be first time buyers, we both have help to buy isas & the rest of our savings are in top savings accounts. We have cut back so much over the last year. Cancelled gym membership etc. I read the MSE email religiously & follow all the advise.
Im sure this house wont be on the market for very long either! Its part of the shared ownership scheme, but its an old house so we need to raise 10% & we are sooooo close!
We currently rent & if we were to buy this house we would be £150 better off each month! Which is huge for us! We really want to get on the property ladder asap.
I have started listing things to sell on facebook as i think this is the most cost effective way to sell.
Ive done car boots. I work so much overtime at work right now. I have cash back apps, & survey websites. Im hopefull i'll win the post code lottery lol
Ive seen some one in a forum before mention match betting? But i cant find the link for it?
Any more money saving ideas, or ways to make money would be welcome!

Even if we cant buy this house, to have another £2k to add to our house fund never hurts right!

best of luck - the whole thread will give you lots of ideas, but you might want to look at this one as their goal is similar to yours (albeit for a different reason).

I wouldn't do matched betting if about to apply for a mortgage. Large amounts of money moving about could be bad if statements are looked at - and you'd need to be moving a fair bit of money around to make £2k quickly I'd think.

Also I wouldn't be buying a house with no savings buffer either. What happens if the boiler explodes the day after you complete?

I'd ask for more advice in the House Buying part of the forum, and find the Matched Betting one and read *all* the guides several times to make sure you understand them. One mistake could cost you everything you've gained and more.

I have a few friends who do Matched Betting, one makes £800+ a month, the other £1000+ a month.

I need to learn about it as I don't understand it! x

Have you looked on the Facebook group feed yourself for £1?

Also try and avoid eBay if you can, using buy and sale sites on Facebook means you don't have to pay for eBay fees and PayPal fees x
  • Thank you everyone. Sold a few things today on facebook. A Stroke of luck that a ppi claim has been upheld so we have the £2k now to save for our emergency fund Although the overtime i have done so far will help nicely!
  • Congratulations, and best of luck for getting your house :)

Heck I bring in around £3000+ a month at the moment online
£3k/month? Are you running a webcam service of underage oriental girls or just drunk?

@OP: I'd probably forget about the house, if you need £2k more for the deposit then you probably need a further £1k+ for solicitors fees etc
Also some shared ownership houses making it impossible for you to own the full house so you'll effectively be a below market rate renter while paying for your own boiler still

  • Hello Friend,
I have personally used so many ways to make money online, so I can reveal to you what I did. At one point in my career however they were an income stream, and are still viable options for you.
    1) Building a Site and Selling Ads
    2) Affiliate Marketing
    3) Creating and Selling Products

I do only 2 things a month to earn money online
    Matched Betting
and I run a very big website which is to do with working from home in the UK
    That's it....
£3k/month isn't massively relevant then as "set up a site & pull in lots of traffic" isn't something easy/quick. While MB is a decent money maker it's probably £1k max of that £3k & will quickly drop off (most my accounts are closed/heavily gubbed 10 months in) unless you're sharbing also

Will check out WhatUsersDo though, thanks

No worries, hope you get on well with WUD

That £3k is a huge mixture of affiliate income and sponsored posts.

Even before i was doing all that I used to make around £700+ a month from just doing Leapforce so there's a ton of money to be made out there right now ;)

As reqards to leapforce to earn £700 a moth how many hours do you have to put in to earn this amount?
Also do you not have to set yourself up as a company to be able to do leapforce? Im not taking the mick im genuinly intrested
