Thanks

I have one. Don't use it much in the summer but in the winter I will use it more.
Hardly any steam comes out of it and of course cooks very quickly.
I had so much trouble putting the lid on the first time I used it but my son worked it out in seconds.
Yes it is like the one pot so you can use their recipes.
£39.99 I paid for mine one year ago.
Keep your receipt safe as guaranteed for 3 years if your thinking of buying one.
Forgot to say it is taller than you think it's going to be and the box is huge as well.
Just looked at your link and they have changed the design as my controls are on the front on the stainless still bit.0 -
Plus it's not really a slow cooker at all. It's just a timer you can use to set the time for it to start pressure cooking.
Maybe the new version different. But mine said slow cooker0 -
I have one of these
instantpot.co.uk
Claims to be
Rice cooker
Pressure cooker
Slow cooker
Saute pan
Yoghurt maker
Steam
Cook soup
Make porridge
I only use pressure cooker- very fast and clean, the saute, and the slow cooker.
I find it convenient to be able to brown meat and onions etc in it then add stock then pressure cook.
It is good for pulled pork, lamb shank, oxtail, currys making stock out of bones. Cheap cuts of meat that need long cooking. I find the sauce often needs further reduction and adding flavour after pressure cooking. It is very handy for batch cooked stews for my elderly relatives.0 -
Personally i think i'd make-do with my slowcooker, but i'vejust checked them out on Amazon and they get good reviews so many people must like them.
Amazon start at £11.

Thanks, but those ones are not the same type of thing-the aldi one/instant pot is like an electric pressure cooker, those look more like electric frying pans.
I didn't like my slow cooker at all, am hoping a pressure cooker will let me cook beans & stews etc much quicker and just as tasty as the conventional way0
