This might help other people.
I keep getting the message "You've already entered this competition" when I know I have not.
Just got it again for a comp from the Metro which I got in an email - sorry guys already posted by someone else.
I solved this by opening the comp link in IE11 then copying the link and sticking it in Chrome.
Doing this sees my entry accepted fine, so this is what I'll do next time I get the same or similar message.
