Can I ask how achievable it is to get a really large purchase such as a holiday with tesco clubcard points/deals vouchers?Weve just used some for eurotunnel for this dec ( saving £100) and couldnt believe how easy it was!Seing cosmos/virgin etc offer holidays and knowing there is no way on earth we could afford to take the kids somewhere like florida Ive started wondering....could we manage to do this (2 adults, 3 kids)anyone got any advice?

Lots of the folks on Paid to Shop seem to manage to amass enough points for some very nice holidays. If you haven't already, check it out. The advice on maximising your points is fantastic.
I'm aiming for a family holiday to Flordia in two years.:T0

Sorry to hijack your thread Lilmiss, but I am looking to use deals to book with Eurotunnel, could I pick your brains on it? I've never used deals before.
I have sent off for holiday vouchers, and when they come I have to call the Eurotunnel number and make the booking, then send the Holiday vouchers in. Is that really all there is to it?
Are the prices when you phone up the same as on the website? Do you know if you can combine holiday vouchers from 2 different people?
It all seems too good to be true. When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0

Doesnt it just!!! I wish Id realised before we paid £150 for a ferry crossing with our caravan last year!I used the internet website to look at the fares I wanted on my desired dates before calling so I could 'budget'. I sent off my vouchers and when I got them called up, having the website with my chosen crossings open at the time of the call for reference. This was very useful when discussing the fares/times we wanted.( same by phone when quoting tescos clubcard as on the net in our case
They send you a booking form with your vouchers and you can use this to record the reference number of your chosen crossings and booking number.Send this with your vouchers by SPECIAL DELIVERY (to ensure you are insured and also because they will only hold your booking for 4 days) I used £70 from my account and £30 from hubbys and they havent mentioned it( same surname)
Bobs yer uncle and freda's your aunty as they say... they didnt even want to know who was travelling, that comes at check in- so long as the lead passenger is travelling. They charged no extra for our roofbox- just wanted to know if we might have one so they can organise the train. If we get stuck in a jam, one of the kids is sick or the car breaks down or something- no problem we can be up to 2 hours late with no penalty! Very reassuring when travelling with the family!Ive never had service like it!DFW £10923 (nov2014)0

Hi, i'm new to MSE and to these tesco deals but i set a target of a free Haven holiday next year. Seems to be a realistic target for me but after reading up on it my daughter reckons my sights should be set much higher, she is targeting Florida LOL which i think will not be happening. A few free weekends at home will suit me fine though if it is easily achieved. 0 0

            Thanks so much Lilmiss.
We always go over with Eurotunnel (easiest way with a dog), and their customer service is amazing. Once we got completely snarled up in traffic and arrived over 5 hours late. I had been phoning them on the way down and they rebooked us 4 times altogether, no charge and no fuss.
 I couldn't ask for more.
Well yes I could, fares at 1/4 of the price ;-) I'm kicking myself for not finding out about it sooner. Can't wait for the vouchers to come through now so I can book! When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0

We've just booked four nights in France with Siblu at half-term in October. Very simple indeed.
Obviously, we had to pay for our Eurodisney tickets on top, but we saved ourselves about £250.0
