Inspired by Doc N (thanks for the Radio Times offer), I looked for other magazines on different sites and found Good Housekeeping, Country Living and several other magazines on 6 issues for £6 or similar offers.
Quidco has £4 for subscribing to GH...not sure if it works with this offer, but worth a try.
Again, you would need to cancel the direct debit before the offer issues end to avoid paying for a full price subscription.
