We'd appreciate some help please, we're due to remortgage imminently, our Financial Advisor found us a deal we were happy with and we accepted.
Everything is going through and all set but we are being told we need to cough up nearly £2000.. why?
As far as we are aware the £595 set up was going to be added to mortgage and we would pay £99 exit fee to Abbey but not so, we have to pay the £595 AND now they have said we have to pay £718 interest.
My OH spoke to Abbey but we just don't get the £718 interest, we wanted everything included as we told FA as we just don't have the money.
I'm gonna have to do a bit of phoning around tomorrow and possibly call the remortgage off as the whole idea was to save us money each month but thats not saving us anything.
Does anyone understand why we have to pay interest?
Not sure if it helps but our mortgage is for £122,000.
Another thing I need to speak to FA about is the fact that the mortgage wasn't just £122,000 it was actually £122,278.21 plus the £595 so why did he only apply for £122,000 as now they need the difference
...... ahh this is doing my head in!
