Hi, i am unsure if anyone can help me. I had my solar panels installed on my home approximately 16 months ago. The company i used was genius energy. To date i have been receiving payments from my energy provider for the feed in tariff but have yet to receive any payments from the governments scheme.
I was told by genius energy(who have now gone bust) i was signed up for the next 20 years to the governments scheme which should pay out approx £800 per year. I was just wondering if anyone knows who i should chase up regarding this.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I think that you'll find that the Feed in Tariff is the government incentive scheme.
Unless there's another scheme I never heard of.
Your electricity company pays you a derisory amount for the electricity you generate, and then the FiT is added on top as a bonus. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
The FIT payments do come through the energy supplier.
There is no separate payment.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0 -
