How do people find the best online survey panels to join? Do you use Google, through word of mouth, advertising, facebook...? What one's would you recommend? Spread the word!

Just search this board. There's threads on most of them.0

It's just trial and error really. My favourites are Your Word, Populus Live, MintVine and Opinion Outpost as an example, but there will be others who think Populus is far too slow and prefer sites like Global Test Market and Valued Opinions (neither of which I can get along with). It's horses for courses.0

have a read of http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/make-money-surveys
different sites work well for different people, often depending on their demographics etc0 -
@surveyqueenuk Thanks for the insight, I'm part of a few panels that friends have told me to join (Tribe Village, Toluna, YouGov). Might give some of those you suggested a go, whats so good about some of your favourites?0

@fragmented i looked at that site, it seems like every survey site these days has pros and cons! I guess you're right in the sense that different sites work well for different people, gonna just have to try some new ones out and hope for the best.0

I gather some of them are invite-only. I used to belong to a lot of survey sites, but deleted my account on most of them and now only use Pinecone and Prolific ac0

DabKing, as surveyqueenuk said, it's horses for courses. Just try a few and see if they're 'for you'.
There are some sites I just can't get along with, or which hardly ever send surveys. Some seem worse than others for asking for loads of information and then screening out:(. Some have a very high redemption threshold and although the money is reasonable I'm not sure it's worth waiting all that time for;).
One of my favourites is My Survey (lots of surveys and can cash-out from £3 upwards).
The most interesting surveys by far are from Prolific Academic as they are not the run-of-the-mill consumer surveys but set by academics researching various things. Often very short and the pay varies accordingly but I find these fairly frequent and the cash soon mounts up. You won't get screened out part of the way through either, they tell you at the outset if you're eligible. You have to watch the time-limit though, people have had submissions refused because of time-out issues.
Good Luck:beer:0 -
@carbootcrazy thanks for your post! I usually look at the redemption threshold cos I just want to earn some extra cash quick, but Prolific Academic seems very interesting I might give them a go.0

I've been a panelist at Tribe Village for a bit now and I get sent interesting surveys maybe every couple of days. Great customer service as i had a query with my money redemption and they got back to me straight away with a , polite and concise answer. They said they're updating their site soon too, definitely looking forwarding to what else they can offfer!0
