This is a long story but I contacted orange at the end of last year as my phone had stopped working & was told that as it was over 6 months old they were not willing to replace it, I could not pay my out of the contract as it still had 5 months to go, so I left the contract running & got another phone that costs me £5 a month as a replacement as I don't have a landline & needed a working phone. In April I contact orange as it was 30 days until my contract expired so I wanted to cancelled as I hadn't used the phone in ages, they said that was all done, the following month I received a bill & phoned to find out why & they said that it was standard procedure & to ignore it & I would receive a readjusted bill, by this time I had cancelled the direct debit. I then received a letter about a month later to say that I needed to make payments to my account otherwise I would be disconnected, I then contacted orange again to say why had I got this letter & they said that my phone had not been disconnected. After several more phone calls I finally managed to get the phone disconnected.
The problem I'm left with is orange are saying that they have no records of any calls from me before July & I have a bill for them for £118.
I don't know what to do, do I just pay the bill, which I could really do with putting the money to paying off my other debts or is there a way to fight it.
