Can you reclaim mortgage redemption fees

I have just been going through my statements from various mortgage lenders and we have paid a hefty amount of early redemption mortgage fees over the last 5 years, does anyone know if we can claim all or part of these back?

if its the Early Repayment Charges then absolutely not.
if its the mortgage exit admin fees then read the article by martin

hi, i think it is an early redemption charge, when we switched mortgages, although didnt realise it cost us that much, one lender charged us nearly £3000 to leave early, must read the small print in future.

Also, do you know what a MEAF is, and how i know if I am owed anything?

Will i have to ring up the various lenders and ask them, even though i dont know how much we were charged etc.

the erc's are lawful - wouldnt even waste your time there.
