Tsubasa Chronicle delivers an unequalled adventure across multiple worlds. Three brave warriors sacrifice all that is dear to them and journey to fantastic worlds with princess Sakura to retrieve her lost memories, which without she will die. An epic storyline, beautiful artwork and moving score elevate Tsubasa Chronicle to a higher class of animated entertainment. The main characters are Syaoran, a young archaeologist who becomes the hero of the story, though he has no powers, Kurogane, a rough-mannered ninja, and Fay D. Flourite a laid-back mage. Also travelling with them is Mokona, a creature given to Sakura by Yuko a dimensional witch who also appears in other Manga stories.
Apparently Tsubasa is the Japanese word for wing. In this anime series whilst traversing through worlds to find Sakura's feathers which are manifestations of her memories, the four travellers and Mokona are forced to overcome many dangers and opponents, some of whom are figures from Syaoran's past who wish to collect Sakura's feathers for their own reasons as they are seen to be objects that hold great power.
