I got a ticket parking at London Welsh rugby club who my friend plays for. I am in the RAF and have been out of the country for a long period of time and come back to find these letters saying I owe money blah blah blah and has been passed onto this debt collection company and say you will be issued with a ccj. There website lists people who have been given these ccj's. I have googled their names and find nothing only that what is on their website. My mum has forced me to phone the debt collection company up (which I was against) and was given the usual 'its clearly marked blah blah blah. At one point they refused to change my address (was changed due to my mum wasn't happy with these threatening letters being sent to her house) It's far passed the appeal stage and I highly doubt they would listen to my excuse of being out of the country. Should I completely ignore it or contact the debt collection agency number?

Never contact a debt collector, they can do nothing but lie and cheat to get your money, they cannot take you to court as they are a third party.
We need more details, like who is the PPC, ticket on car?0 -
Read the newbie sticky on this forum, then you'll have a better idea.
It's unlikely you'll get a ccj0 -

... hope she didn't tell you to fly over and drop on them!
Debt collectors you can ignore (but not Mums). If you get anything from a solicitor or a court come back and it can be dealt with. No point in wasting your time with them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

No ticket was put on the car. PPC? Just photo evidence which does not hold upto much as it can only give the location of my car at that point in time and cannot account for the time between photo's.0 -
I am confused, multiple threads, different user names, ducks need to be aligned. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

PPC = Private Parking Company = WHO put the ticket on the car?
Do you mean UK Car Park Management = UKCPM?0 -

Yes. UK Car Park Management are the company. Even though I have let this run on and lost all the original documentation with the photo evidence, and only have a recent one. What would be the implications of this? The charge was sent through the post.0 -
Just relax, collect any debt collector daft threatograms (chuckle at their desperate red font!) and only take seriously real court papers or a Letter before Claim from UKCPM themselves, or from a solicitor. Anything else from random debt firms, just keep and file away.

Cheers Coupon-mad. I can rest easy now. I will just continue to ignore these primitive letters. Unless I should still send an appeal letter after it being over 6 months?0
