Hi, I'm going to be 50 years old on 26th December and I'm struggling to find free present ideas as to what to ask from family as they are keen for me to mark the date. We only get presents for each other when it's "Big 0" birthdays.
On my 40th birthday I asked my family (there are eight of us altogether) to take a blank postcard and create something - arty, words etc. It created some stress for a couple of members and my mother didn't feel able to do anything. I didn't realise it would be a challenge, I was just thinking it would be a nice to have a handmade gift from each family member that didn't have to cost anyone a penny. I love the postcards that I got :-)
So, now I'm stuck with how to celebrate my 50th. Is there some idea that I can give to family that makes a present personal... similar to my 40th.
I hope that make sense, I'm not sure I've explained it very well, so please ask questions if you need clarification
