Transfer tests and GCSE results?

Just out of interest, does anyone know of a resource giving statistics on how well transfer test scores correlate with GCSE grades?

It would be interesting to see if they are doing a good job of predicting results.

I was thinking more of something like scores attained by pupils against results (grades or points) by the same pupils.

Sorry, I'd seriously doubt you'll be able to get the data drilled down to that level. It would obviously have to be anonymised. If it's for a research project you could look at submitting a request to the individual schools or query the education boards, but for "personal" research I doubt they'd entertain the request.

Schools would probably be the only ones with the end-to-end data, but I doubt they woukd be collating it or summarising it unless forced to...
But it means there's really no way to judge the effectiveness of the transfer tests.
