Skilled embroidery machinist wages

I'm being offered a job as a skilled embroidery machinist and short of digitizing i'm well suited for the job. What i want to know is how much skilled embroidery machinists are paid these days ?
Looked through some sites, but, as embroidery machinist is not exactly "mainstream", i cant seem to figure out what i should be asking p/h.
I know the company, worked on exact same setting, can start without any training. The job is not a bore where you stick to one design, that is given to you on a plate, through the day, you need to maintain/refer-to database of designs, pick thread colors, load designs off said database, program the machine (which is essentially a CNC), frame garments etc.
Also, i would do inhouse IT keeping, as i have lifelong experience (30ish years) messing with PCs, from installing windows to digital video editing/equipment setup to singmaking(coreldraw/cutters) to small networks to watercooled gaming rig building (PC Master Race so to speak
). No "formal training" or quals, just actual experience.
Job is located in Northern Ireland, so regional differences from england/wales/scotland may be there.
Anyone want to advise me on this ?
Thanks.

Are they asking you to suggest a rate, or are they offering you a figure and you're trying to work out whether it's acceptable?0

Neither. It's all pre-negotiation research from my side. They havent put forward a figure so i assume they wait for my ask. I dont want to lowball too much as not to leave any space for negotiations. Just dont want to go in there unprepared.0

If you're a suitable candidate then presumably you have experience in the industry and have a reasonable idea how much machinists are paid - you'll certainly know more than most of us will.0

1. It's doubtful there is anyone on this site who knows a skilled embroidery machinist and even if they did probably wouldn't know their earnings.
2. Being in NI means pay structure is most probably different to rest of UK.
Try Googling "skilled embroidery machinist", which is what I did and found
http://www.totaljobs.com/jobs/embroidery-machinist
which seems to suggest not much more than NMWIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Something I read a while ago... think of the lowest number you'd be embarrassed to ask for because you don't think you should be earning that much. That is your start point for negotiation.Started 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0

I would imagine that the wages are quite low around min wage?. At work we purchase lots of logoed workwear (embroidery on the left breast & left sleeve and 3 colours). A typical finished garment we purchase for £8.60 approx. Probably the only skill is loading the machine. I suspect the OP is way above that level.0

I know South East / London rate would be around £15 phr if in a sample studio working on fairly high end product.
Not less than £10 per hr if production management.0
