Has anyone found this app to be any use? My issue with it is that in order to compare the price of an item you often have to 'switch shop' one at a time - it often doesn't let you compare at a glance the price of an item from all the shops all the time (as below) after searching for it. It is also inaccurate. Today it told me that an item was £1 at Iceland and not available at Morrisons, when it was.

I don't understand....your saying you have to switch shop to compare items, yet your pictures show that if you click on an item, it brings up a comparison list of the other major supermarkets. How do you need to switch shops to compare when you have that pop-up? I have the app, it works just like the Desktop version where if you select an item you can easily compare by just clicking on the item.
My only issue is that (just like the desktop/Mac/Apple/Android...etc) version, you cannot search a product, you have to search a brand. EG if I want to look for something like Almond milk (which there are several brands who make this) I have to search by Alpro or Almond Breeze ...etc rather than just being able to type in something like "almond milk" or similar. I did contact the site about it as searching for something like almond milk will just bring up a range of bubble baths and almond oils (but no almond milk at all) but the site don't seem the least bit bothered as it's been a few years now and no change.
A few other items work similarly but I suppose as long as you find a way to work around this and manipulate the search bar you can find and compare what you need even if it means needing to search by individual items, brands or whatever.
Also, don't forget that some instore prices can be "managers specials" or only available at that store. I've been caught out by that happening a few times and it happens across the branches. Tesco Sainsburys and Morrisons do this store specific thing a lot in my experience.
I tend to find the stores are behind My Supermarket- a few times now I've been to (for example last week) Waitrose didn't have a range marked on offer. I asked customer services to check, they confirmed it was on offer despite not being marked. Told me the offer was on for a following fortnight. I went back the next week; still not marked as on offer!
I can't be 100% on this but I think that the site/app works by having supermarkets send over the offers to the site rather than the site taking all the offers and updating them themselves. I think I remember it was -if not still is, owned by one of the supermarkets at some point.0 -
Don't get me started on mysupermarket. Since they 'improved' the site for mobile & tablet users a few years ago, the full version lost many features, and in my opinion became a much less user friendly site.
And good luck trying to get a response from them. They used to reply to feedback, but I guess they consider themselves beyond that now. People still use the site & that's all they care about.
Back to the OP, only guesswork here as I've never used the app, but are you signed in to your local store? Also I don't know how often MSMs data is updated, but maybe they 'check stock' in the morning, and Morrisons had a delivery after that time. What did the actual Morrisons website say?
As for Iceland, they currently have 12x27g advertised, and MSMs software probably identified it incorrectly.0
