Where do you get buffalo milk from in the UK - I'd love to have a go at making Mozzarella.0 -
You can get it in Waitrose - but can make your own mozzarella-style cheese with cow's milk too - I think it's only certain Italian varieties (Mozzarella di Bufala Campana) that use water buffalo milk anyhoo.
I'd use the whey along with stock, to up the protein content of food. You could prolly whack it into bread-making/smoothies etc.2022 | Back to the fold - need a Money Saving mojo reboot!

Thanks, I'll have a look next time I'm near a Waitrose, I don't think I'd make the effort to make "Mozzarella style" cheese.0 -
Hi again. I've just looked and it seems too much of a palaver for me, but it must be very satisfying to do if you are the time.
I'll stick with Aldi's buffalo moz and boncocino (sp?) for 99p!__________________________________

Re: the whey - I guess you could use it in place of water when cooking: breads, soups etc. It has a protein, calcium and B2 content IIRC.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Whey would be fine in smoothie, porridge, soups, stews... I think it can be frozen, too, so you could always save it until you're cooking something suitable.0

Sell it to athletes. It's a great protein source.
Well for those who don't take PEDs anyway.0
