Wondering if anyone can help me - set up my own business teaching aerobics etc and I want to go into the community and do it - however I dont have my own sound system which i would need for this.
I want to try to get hold of a grant or bursary of no more than £500 quid - I've had a look around but they all seem to require you to be unemployed which i'm not - I work 35 hours a week with £18k salary
Can anyone help?
PS hope i put this in the right forum!

This is the type of business you can begin while you are working in a full-time job. If you do other work 9-5, you can teach in the evenings.
You will have worked out that you need money to pay for the hire of accommodation and publicity as well as the sound system. How sophisticated does your sound system have to be? I've seen classes run in village halls where the instructor simply used an ordinary CD player (without additional amplifiers) for the music and relied on her own voice projection.
You can start at that level. If that requires £500 to start, then maybe the best thing to do is save up.

PS You might get more of a response in the Small Biz etc area of the Who you are section.0
