Bargain sewing machines at Woolworths

Options
Was buying less exciting things in Woolworths yesterday and noticed they had what seemed to me like good deals on sewing machines. See here
Think the first one was reduced from £180?
Hope this can help someone out - I bought mine last year for significantly more!

    Thanks for this

I'm on the lookout for a new machine - mine drives me scatty - It corrupts my children! (It causes me to use language they wouldn't otherwise hear!)

  • i had ne of my sewing machines from a charity shop a few years ago for a donation price of £5.... as they were not aloowed to sel it as it was an electrical itemm.. as they have to be officially tested etc...

i had it serviced.. and it does me fine.....

it might be worth asking at charity shops and also auctions when they are doing their general sales.. i have seen some sewing machines going for £1.

i also have an old singer sewing machine.. the manual one....i think these should be the heigth of fashion now as they are enviormentally friendly.. not using electric... etc...but yet even though they are old..they are like a good old cart horse.... plods along....i think i will dust the case off and bring it out for an airing..... i need to redo some seams on some old vintage dresses.. it would be quite apt really as they will be from the same era.....lol...
