My complaint to Axa for being mis sold endowment was refused as they stated the plan was arranged by a firm of independent financial advisers & that they were responsible for ensuring it was suitable. I don't think this is right as its Axa who I've paid my monthly payment to all these years! Has anyone else experienced this type of response or had any dealings with Axa. I've got a red alert letter about the shortfall. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Who sold you the product and gave you advice?0

It was a local financial adviser who also sorted out my mortgage. To be honest I picked them at random. In hindsight I was a naive first time buyer!!0

It doesnt matter who the endowment is with. It is who provided the original advice.
You are a bit late to the endowment issue now. That is generally considered over now bar some late stragglers. Plus, most endowments are now timebarred from complaint (you get three years from FIRST notification of a high risk of shortfall. Most of those went out by 2003)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
